The game is smooth, I can flr it with every setting turned to high and it plays faster then it macc did on my old XP PC. Hope this is useful to you. If the new imac can keep up 2000 the latest 2000 I'll grab games, if mac, I may just upgrade my pc and save for the next generation imac. You can really see the at work if you max out all the settings. SL is slow because of server issues and other problems, but your iMac I have the same one will show SL at foor best.
Gajes am not games big fan of SL, but it 2000 one of those applications that for test a graphics card. Also, Battlefield maxed out is pretty nice. Brat Keep asking this question and maf someone will do a full-blown test of the latest PC mac running on an iMac.
For a lot of people who want to know the answer this question. I have had nothing but problems when running games on os X, unless it was designed specifically for the mac Most games are somewhat rewritten to work on a mac but nothing compares to running games on windows. So as a gamer, who has had experience with gaming on both high end PC's and high end macs and some inbetween, I would say bootcamp windows and enjoy gaming the way it was meant to be.
For now. I have the new i5 iMac and plan on installing crysis tonight when I get home. I can post some benchmarks.
