I haven't installed High Sierra yet and am wondering how it will run on this iMac. I am currently running High Sierra doesn't seem to be getting the normal "push" to this Mac from Apple as other recent OS upgrades have and I'm wondering if that because of the age of my iMac or if it's due to something else.

However, I do not have an SSD, internal or external but understand that they were what the new file system is intended for. My external spinner, a 4 TB Time Machine drive, continues to operate fine.
